Option to check and remove the irregular frequencies

Irregular frequencies give rise to unusual results. Since Moses is a complete hydrodynamic modelling and analysis software, it would be really helpful if there was an option to check for and remove the irregular frequencies. Otherwise, the feature can be enabled by default when generating a hydrodynamic database.

The MOSES development team agrees with the previous comment. The philosophy of MOSES has long been to give full control to the user. The software should not be making engineering decisions for the engineer. We prefer the engineer assesses the data produced by MOSES and then makes the conscious decision to remove frequencies that they consider to be irregular.

At this time we will not implement any changes here. However, if there is a significant increase in votes then we may reconsider our position in the future.

Not sure this is a good idea. Moses concept is to give the user full control over his actions. Irregular frequencies may in some situations be a reality and removing them be a thoughtful action you do not want a machine to do for you.

Irregular freqencies are shown thru the fact that damping and added mass coefficients are negative. Well, most of the time the negative coefficients occur because of a bad meshing. How Moses is supposed to know the difference ?
